The screen of the PSP console can become damaged through repeated use. The screen can be scratched or cracked, and parts of the screen may become discolored or won’t display any image at all. You can replace the screen on your PSP if you feel comfortable taking apart electronic devices. This should only be done when repair of the PSP by a professional would be too costly. Disconnect and remove all accessories attached to your PSP. Eject any UMD discs and memory sticks inside the console. Remove the battery from the back of the PSP and leave the battery cover off. Lay your PSP on a flat surface, face up. Remove the circular nub on the top of the analog stick by pulling the top of the stick away from the system while gently tilting it at an angle. Turn your PSP over and locate five screws that are holding the casing together. Four of these screws are in each corner of the PSP and one is located on the bottom edge.
