Removing the Headlight Assembly Step 1 Open the hood, and disconnect the negative (black) cable terminal from the Jeep car battery post with a wrench. Step 2 Remove the four front headlight bezel retaining screws, using a screwdriver. Step 3 Lift out the front headlight bezel, and set it aside. Place the four loose screws inside the bezel so they will be easy to find later.
