The headlight in a Toyota Prius can burn out suddenly, so you’ll need to know how to replace it. Replacement headlights can be purchased directly from a Toyota dealership or from most auto parts stores. You will need the part number stamped on the base of the old headlight so that you can get the correct replacement light. Step 1 Turn the steering wheel to the left or right so that you can access the screws just inside the fender well. Step 2 Remove the screws that hold the fender well trim in place and pull the trim out of the fender well. Step 3 Remove the 14 screws that hold the plastic bumper cover to the bumper support and pull the bumper cover off. The screws are on the underside of the bumper and should be accessible without raising the Prius off the ground.
