If the question is ‘how to install a shower head’ and ‘not a tub faucet’, I recently did one myself. It can be a little frustrating, especially the first time as you’re not sure about what you’re doing or what to expect. But it’s not impossible! I had never done one before either. Step 1 It’s a good idea to turn of the water at the source just to be on the safe side. Make sure your safe step stool, if you’re using one, is secure in the tub and have all your tools and new parts within easy reach.. Remove the old shower head, it should screw off with a tool of your choice.. Step 2 New shower heads come in packages with very specific instructions and diagrams. Wrap plumber’s tape around the end that you’re going to screw the head onto. Make sure new washers are in place. Screw on the new shower head, usually everything you need comes in the same package ie washers, etc and make sure it’s tight! Step 3 Turn water back on at source and check for leaks.
