How Do You Replace Battery Cables In A Plymouth Voyager?
Since 1990, the Plymouth Voyager was made sleeker each year, until it was discontinued in 2000. The battery, however, was always on the driver’s side, just over the fender. This is where to look if you’re having trouble starting your van. Check for corrosion and replace the cables if they’re worn enough that the teeth are touching. Loosen the bolt on the negative battery cable with the minus sign first, using a box wrench or cable clamp pliers. Carefully twist the cable end off the post, tapping it gently with a small hammer if it sticks. Repeat the process on the positive cable. Follow the negative cable to where it’s grounded on the inside of the driver side fender on Plymouth Voyager. Remove the end of the cable with the wrench. Track the positive cable to its connection on the starter solenoid on the driver side of the engine and remove it with the wrench. Clean the battery posts with a small wire brush or cable cleaner and wipe clean with a dry cloth. Attach the new positive cable
