Hello, If you’re looking for instructions for replacing your Camshaft Position Sensor for a BMW, you’ve found it. Don’t let the dealer charge you $240. You can do it yourself in about 2 hours with basic tools. The entire instructions are included in this PDF. It is pretty easy. I have a document i can email you with all numerous pictures at gutnick@yahoo.com Remove oil filter cover. Put a cloth over the oil filter area so you dont drop anything in it. Remove silver unit. Small amount of oil comes out. Disconnect CPS with small screwdriver. It helps to remove the camshaft cover with the 2 screws. If you have small hands, you can reach under and get to it. Insert new CPS. Use a new washer if necessary. It usually is not needed. Reconnect connector Connect silver unit VANOS unit. Replace oil filter if necessary and then put cap back on. Test with ODB scanner.
