How Do You Replace Fuel On A Ryobi Trimmer?
Replacing the fuel on a Ryobi trimmer isn’t quite as simple as driving to the gas station, swiping your credit card, unlocking your car’s fuel cap and filling your car. Ryobi trimmers are 2-cycle engines, that is, they require that the lubricant be mixed in with the gasoline. It still uses unleaded automotive fuel, except you have an extra step—mixing the fuel and oil. Pour one gallon of unleaded automotive fuel into the two-gallon can. Pour the small can (2.6 ounces) of lubricant into the gasoline can through the funnel. Keep the can; you’ll use it in the future as a measure (the mix is 2.6 ounces of lubricant to one gallon of gasoline). Screw the lid of the gasoline tank on tightly. If open, close the air vent at the back of the can; turn the can once. Open the can very carefully. (You may hear a hissing noise, which is normal.) Open the air vent on the can.
