Replacing the old pillow back cushions on your sofa is another easy, inexpensive way to add pizzazz to a boring, worn out living space. Remove the existing pillows from the sofa. Create an opening along one of the sides of each of the pillows using scissors. Be careful not to cut into the stuffing of the pillows if you intend to use it to stuff the new pillows. Remove all of the old stuffing. If the batting from the old cushions is flat and misshaped, buy new batting to fill the new cushions. Purchase it at your local fabric store.
