You have to remove the headlight assembly mounting screws and remove the headlight assembly. Remove the power cable by squeezing the lock clip to release the cable, then release the bulb from the headlight assembly. Reverse process for the new bulb. I've only read how to do this - not done it on my own yet, so I expect to learn (and be frustrated) in my own replacement efforts later today. Hope this helps.  more

Step 1.

Shut the car engine off and engage the emergency brake for added safety. Also, make sure you turn the headlight switch off before proceeding.

  •
  • Step 2.
  • Open the hood using the hood release latch located under the right hand side of the dash panel in the cab of the car.

  • Step 2

Open the hood using the primary and auxiliary hood release latches.

    Step 3.
  • If changing th passenger side headlight bulb follow this step.  If not proceed to step 4. Using a flathead screwdriver, remove the clip from the top of the air cleaner duct and pull the duct out of the engine compartment.

  •
  • Step 4.

Turn the headlight bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it from the headlight assembly.

  •
  • Step 5.

Unplug the electrical connector from the back of the bulb. Carefully dispose of the bulb to prevent it from shattering or cracking.

  •
  • Step 6.

Attach the electrical connector to the new bulb and insert it into the headlight assembly. Twist it clockwise to secure its position.

  •
  • Step 7.

Test the new headlight to make sure it works before replacing the air cleaner duct (if applicable) and closing the hood.
