How Do You Replace The Serpentine Belt In A 2005 Jeep Liberty?
The serpentine belt on the 2005 Jeep Liberty runs all of the pulleys on the front of the engine. The pulleys, in turn, run all of the engine accessories, such as the alternator, power steering pump, crank shaft, water pump and the air conditioner pump. If the serpentine belt is not installed correctly, it will cause the engine accessories to run backwards and this can cause significant damage to the engine. You can replace the serpentine belt on the 2005 Jeep Liberty yourself correctly in about a half an hour or so. Pop the hood on the 2005 Jeep Liberty and locate the serpentine belt routing diagram on top of the fan shroud, above the radiator. The serpentine belt diagram will be a sticker that shows the pulleys with the serpentine belt routed around them–these are instructions on how to correctly route the new serpentine belt across the pulleys.
