Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) is a firmware program on all Dell computers. BIOS runs upon the computer’s startup and scans hardware and vital software to ensure the computer runs smoothly. While it usually isn’t necessary, you can make changes to BIOS to attempt to fix problems. The BIOS configuration cannot be entered without a password. If you do not know the password for your Dell GX-240, your best option is to delete the current password and create a new one. Turn the computer off and unplug all of the cables.
