Tire pressure monitoring systems must be reset or “relearned” after a tire is changed or rotated. In a perfect world, your dealer or service professional will have performed the procedure for you, but if he hasn’t, you can do it yourself. The process requires releasing a large amount of air from your tires, so you’ll need to have access to an air compressor. The process is the same for all Pontiac G6 models, 2005 and newer. Make sure that your air compressor has enough air to re-inflate your tires. If you don’t have an air compressor, park your G6 near an air machine (often found at gas stations) before beginning the process. Turn your engine off and set your parking brake.
