How Do You Reset The Codes On A Whirlpool Duet Washer?

Whirlpool manufactures a Duet line of washers which feature electronic control panels. The control panel can display a code if the washing machine detects on error during its wash cycle. The error code displayed will indicate in what function of the wash cycle the control system detected a malfunction. These codes can sometimes be cleared and resolved by the user without requiring a visit from a service technician. Observe that the wash cycle has stopped and an error code is displayed. Note the code that is displayed. Press "Pause/Cancel" two times to cancel the cycle. Press "Drain/Spin" if there is water in the tub. Unplug the washer or disconnect power for two minutes, then plug the washer back in or reconnect power. Attempt to find a resolution for the error code.
