How Do You Restore A 1971 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow?
On top of everything else I am unable to do, I decided it was time to buy a second car. My wife has a PT Cruiser and I didn’t have anything. I started cruising used car lots and discovered that they were not worth what they wanted and would only go down in price. I went online found a 1971 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud for the price of a 2 year old used car and bought it to restore it and to have fun with it. After going on-line and searching the prices of the Silver Shadow, I discovered the 1971 model had a huge range depending on condition. They started at $5000 to $60,000. I got mine for about $15,000. The body is in very good shape, the engine and transmission work fine, and the interior is garbage. But the car only has 41,000 miles on it. I looked at it as a challenge and a great useful hobby for someone who is Bi-Polar and has PTSD. The very first thing I needed was insurance.
