How Do You Restore Outlook Express Address Book?

0

You have backed up your Microsoft Outlook Express Email Address book and now you want to restore the backup to your computer. Here are some practical ways to get your Contacts back where they belong–on your computer. Locate the folder or media for your backup. If it is on a CD, external backup hard drive or USB drive, go ahead and insert that into the drive on your computer. The file will appear on your computer screen. Hopefully you named it something easy to remember that you can quickly locate and click on. Open up Outlook Express on the file menu on the top of your screen, click “Import,” and then “Other Address Book.” Select the text file choice and then import. To locate your stored addresses from the file on the media (CD, USB or other backup media) select browse and then find your file. The file should end with .csv. Click on “Open” and then “Next.” Wait a few minutes, click “OK” and “Close” this screen.
