Remove the empty spool from the Ryobi Weed Trimmer by turning the center knob on the bottom of the trimmer counterclockwise. Once the center knob is released, the old spool will be loose and easily removed. Secure the new line in the anchor hole on the bottom of the trimmer. This is located in the same area where the old spool was removed. Wind the string around the Ryobi spool spindle, following the guide arrows. This will ensure that the line is wound correctly. When the spool is full, snap it into the holding guides to secure the string and prevent it from unwinding. Leave approximately ¾ inch to 1 inch of overhanging
