How Do You Resurface Particle Board Kitchen Cabinets With Altered Art?

Looking for a truly unique way to update your kitchen cabinets? Then alter them into a one of a kind piece of art. Use an exterior house paint for the base of your cabinet at least 2-3 coats. Dry overnight. After it has dried overnight, you are ready to start the fun part. I used old book pages, some vintage green stamps, old black and white photos, reproduction vintage fruit crate labels, and other miscellaneous paper items. Glue the papers to the cabinet with decopage glue like modge podge making sure to apply the glue on the top of the paper after it’s glued to the cabinet. After all of the glue has dried give it a antique look by using photo oil paints. Use a cotton ball and apply a small amount of the oil paint to the cotton ball. Work in a circular motion rubbing in the paint all over the cabinet. Photo oil paints are translucent and the browns and sepia colors work best for giving your piece a vintage look. Apply a final coat of the decoupage glue to seal it and your done!
