Popping wheelies on motorcycles can be dangerous, and in some cases illegal. On the other hand, it can be a lot of fun, and certainly it’s quite impressive. Riding a wheelie on a motorcycle is even more impressive. It should never be done by anyone other than an expert, but follow these guidelines and you’ll be riding on your back wheel in no time. Launch your motorcycle into a wheelie. The easiest way to do this is by rolling it on. However, the method won’t work on all bikes. Go about 1/3 of your tach range while in first gear. Then, within a second you need to have the throttle at full. You can use your suspension and/or your clutch to help you if you are having trouble getting your motorcycle to perform a ride on wheelie (see tips below).
