With a tough economy and everyone looking to save money in any and every way they can, places like thrift stores and yard sales could provide part of the answer. For some, it may seem a little difficult to consider wearing previously-owned clothing, but considering the popularity of vintage clothing these days, not only may you save money, but you’ll actually find some pretty unique threads, as well. Locate all the thrift stores in your area. A few notables include Goodwill, Salvation Army, SPCA, etc. There may also be some others that are specific to your area. Look in the phone book. Go in and determine when they get their shipments. The clothes may be used, but thrift stores sometimes get shipments of newly donated clothing on particular days. Find the days and get in early. Though the shipments may be on certain days, there’s always a chance a rogue donation might turn up something really unique.
