Here’s how to get in on the fun for a fraction of the cost. To start, you’ll need to know pin trading basics. New Disney pins cost $6.95-$12.95 at the parks. Trading can be quite costly if you’re not familiar with the sport. Most of the Disney employees (Cast Members) wear lanyards with trading pins. They start each day with brand new pins (many are Cast Member exclusives), and trade with guests throughout the day. If a guest wants to trade a pin with a Cast Member, the Cast Member must agree as long as they don’t already have that particular pin on their lanyard.
