When conducting a survey, there are many different scales and measures that are used. One of the most popular scales used is known as the Likert scale. Likert scales are typically multiple-choice questions with five responses, ranging from “Strongly Disagree” to “Strongly Agree.” From there, you can easily score each test as part of a greater survey. Label the spreadsheet. On the column for titles, assign the question number. For the top row, indicate the survey number. Write down the number in the spreadsheet that corresponds to the response made on the survey. Write down one response number per row. Add the responses up for each survey response. For example, if one respondent circled the numbers 1, 4, 3, 5, 5 in their survey, you would add them all up.
