How Do You Sew A Girl Scout Patch On A Uniform?
Girls Scouts all collect and earn patches and merit badges. You can iron on some of the Girl Scout patches, but over time the adhesive loses its strength. The best way to make sure the patches stay in place is to sew them on. Gather all the patches you wish to sew on and pull out the Girl Scout uniform. Choose where to place the patches. Get your Girl Scout to help you with this. Certain patches have specific places on the uniform. Check with your Girl Scout leader if you have any questions. Spread the uniform out on a flat service. Make sure the the uniform is as straight as possible. Place the patches on the uniform. Use masking tape to hold the patches in place. Sew each patch onto the uniform with a sewing machine using clear thread. You should use a tight backstitch at the beginning and at the end to hold the slick thread in its place. Remove the masking tape and snip any loose threads. Repeat Steps 5 and 6 for all other patches.
