Purchase 1/4 yd. of contrasting fabrics, one for the outside and one for the inside of your coin purse. The fabric you buy for the outside should be a little heavier than the lining to make to purse holds up well. Lay out both of the fabrics on a table. Put the lining on the table first and lay the outside fabric on top with the right side up. Cut the fabric into a 5-inch by 10-inch rectangle. Fold the pieces of your coin purse with the lining on the outside. Pin along the sides to hold the fabric in place. Stitch both sides, backstitching at the bottom for extra strength.
