• With the clutch disengaged, shift all the way down to first, using your left foot. Rolling the bike a forward and back might help. • After you are in first gear, and moving at an acceptable speed. Pull or in the clutch, at the same time let off of the gas. • Remember to keep on holding the clutch in, and pull up gently on the shifter until you feel it click. This is neutral. Pull up firmly this time, the second click will be 2nd gear. • Release the clutch lever smoothly and reapply the gas at the same time. The aim here is to do everything smoothly so that you don’t bounce off down the road like a kangaroo. Not applying the gas will result in the engine stalling. Make sure that you know when to shift!
