Bam Margera is famous not only for being a professional skateboarder but also for his accomplishments in the fields of television, film and music. He was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 28, 1979, and was a professional skateboarder by the age of 13. While still a teenager, Margera developed the CKY video series. Margera co-created and starred in the MTV show “Jackass,” as well as the “Jackass” films. He also created, produced, directed and starred in “Viva La Bam” for MTV. Margera currently owns the Filthy Note record label, which he created, and hosts “Radio Bam” on Sirius Satellite Radio. The skateboarding companies Element Skateboards, Destructo Trucks and Adio Shoes, among others, currently sponsor him. All of his accomplishments and acclaim began with skateboarding.
