Writer J.R.R. Tolkien created an entire cultural history to underpin his Lord of the Rings trilogy. Among the races of Middle Earth are the Orcs, an evil species who serve various villains in the story. Tolkien was a linguist, and the languages of Middle Earth are quite sophisticated as are the developmental relationships among them.
