How Do You Stencil Designs On Tiles?
Stenciling tiles is a fun activity that is farily easy to do. You don’t need a whole lot of creativity or drawing ability. You can use the tiles in a variety of ways, on walls, as a back splash, or as trivets, coasters, or wall hanging. You can create an assortment of similar designs or keep to one pattern. COLLECT YOUR SUPPLIES Visit a local craft shop or shop on the web, but purchase all the supplies identified and also purchase tiles, if needed. STENCIL A TILE Position a sentcil card on the tile. Mark the stencil leaving a small margin at the top and bottom corners of the tile. Line up with the grout lines to ensure the stencil is straight. Use a small amount to masking tape to hold the stencil in place. Otherwise, just hold it with your non-dominant hand. Your dominant hand needs to be free to apply the paint. Pour the paint you intend to use in a shallow dish or pan. Take a foam stencil brush and then apply the paint hollowed-out center of the stencil. Repeat on additional tiles.
