You can create decorative home decor, gifts, and clothing using stencils you make yourself from freezer paper. It’s easy to make homemade stencils in any design, style, or theme simply using word-processing software and your printer. Open a blank document in your word-processing software. Set the document size to letter (8.5 by 11 inches). Type the words you want to stencil or insert an image by selecting “Picture” from the Insert menu. Choose the appropriate file for your image or select one from the clip art available in your software. Cut a sheet of freezer paper to 8.5 by 11 inches. Print the image and text on the non-shiny side of the freezer paper, just as if you were printing on regular paper. Preheat your iron to the appropriate temperature for the material (such as a t-shirt) to which you’ll be adding your design.
