Turn off the water supply to the home by turning the handle in line with the water line. Turn the handle for the bathtub in the on position. This relieves the pressure out of the lines to prevent water from spraying out when you work on the faucet. Pry off the cap that sits in the center of the handle. If it does not pry off with the flat-head screwdriver, then unscrew it with an adjustable wrench. Turn in a counterclockwise motion. It will come right off.
