You have a great office chair. It’s comfortable and slick. You have one horrible issue, it has a very annoying squeak. It may not bother you, but it seems to bother everyone around you. As bad as this is, there is a very easy solution. Please follow my steps and save your family members the horror of hearing the squeak! Step 1 Place a drop cloth on the floor. If you don’t have a drop cloth use lots of newspaper. Layer the newspaper. This is the prevent the Oil from spraying on your floor. If the oil gets on the floor it can be a hassle to remove. Step 2 Turn the chair over. Spray the WD40 on the hinges that attach the base of the chair to the seat. Spray every hinge/bolt Step 3 Turn the chair over and sit on it. Swivel the chair around. This will work the WD40 into all the tight areas. Do this for a good few minutes. The squeak should slowly go away. Step 4 If this does not work, turn the chair over and repeat these steps. If all else fails buy a new chair!
