Apply cold washcloths to the nose, check and neck. Apply petroleum jelly to the inside of the nose for the next week to ten days – the amount of time it takes the ruptured blood vessel to completely heal. Be very gentle. Avoid future nosebleeds by humidifying the air. Add vitamin K to the diet through dark greens. Include vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, alfalfa and vitamin E to your diet too.
