How Do You Stop Mold & Mildew On Bathroom Caulk?
Bathrooms need to be cleaned regularly due to the water that is constantly resting on the caulk around the bathtub. This makes the caulk extremely susceptible to mold and mildew. If you do happen to see mold or mildew appear in the bathroom, it is important to clean off the mold and mildew from the caulk as quickly as possible to keep it from spreading. Combine a mixture of half baking soda and half bleach. You want to wear cleaning gloves while creating this mixture to protect your skin from possible irritation. Dip a toothbrush into the baking soda and bleach mixture. This is going to be a thick, paste-like substance Scrub the caulk around the bathroom (typically near the bathtub, sink and toilet) with the toothbrush. Allow the baking soda and bleach mixture to sit on the caulk for about 10 minutes or so after cleaning with the toothbrush. Rinse away the cleaning mixture and all the mold and mildew should be gone.
