Poison Ivy Itch as well as poison oak suck. Why? Because they always itch. How do you make them stop itching you ask? Well here is a couple of common tips as well as some tips you may have never heard of. Good luck with your rash! Poison Ivy Itch is inevitable. One way to stop it is the traditional Aveeno cream method, where you apply it to the rash and it will moderately take some of the itching away. This only works for a short period of time though. Oatmeal baths are my favorite way to stop the poison ivy itch. Start a warm (not hot!) bath and pour it in. It can either be a homemade oatmeal bath or store bought as they both work the same. These are good for your skin and will help the itch very good. I use these 2-3 times a day when I get the rash. Before bed, rubbing alcohol is the way to go.
