How Do You Stretch Canvas With A Machine?
• Work Surface Start with clean work surface • Turn artwork face-down and create fold along image • Rotate 90 degrees and make a second fold along image • Place wood stretcher frame on canvas • Create starter course with staple gun Create a starter course • Flip art over so loose end is toward operator Flip art over with loose end toward operator • Depress foot pedal to “open” clamp • Place wood stretcher bar on stretcher plates • Feed loose end of canvas between clamp and angle bar Place stretcher bar on top of plates • Remove foot from pedal to “close” clamp • Shift artwork and stretcher frame forward “off” the plates • Initiate stretch using toggle valve • Shoot row of staple beneath stretcher bar Staple underneath stretcher bar • Release the stretch • Depress foot from pedal to open clamp • Remove artwork • Remove foot from pedal to close clamp • Rotate artwork 90 degrees; create fold • Depress pedal to open clamp • Feed loose canvas between clamp and angle • Remove foot to close c
