How Do You Survive Being The New Kid?
• Go to summer programs in your new school before the beginning of the year, if possible. It’s a great way to make friends, even before school starts! • Find one person you think would make a good friend and go talk to them. Once you make one friend then it gets much easier. • Meet their other friends and make a good impression. Make friends with them, and you should have a group you can always hang with. • Avoid being shy and sticky. Talk to the person next to you and try to spark up a little conversation, but don’t try too hard as you might scare people off. • Try your best to stay away from bullies; bullies always have it in for the new kid. But if a bully does come at you, stand up for your self. The bully just might have a problem that’s making him upset, and he/she should not take it out on you. Don’t be mean, just stand up for your self! Dress nicely. You don’t want to set a bad impression, especially when people are just starting to know you. So look your best, but don’t wear s
