Once the top and front panels are out of the way, you will have complete access to every working part within the Amana front load washer. Disconnect the power cord of the Maytag Amana front load washer from the wall outlet. Pull the washer away from the wall 3 feet to allow access behind the unit. Turn the water supply off at the wall spigots. Set a bucket under the area where the water supply hoses connect to the back of the Amana washer. Disconnect the water hoses by first using a pair of pliers to loosen the connections and then twisting the hoses off by hand. Place the ends of the water hoses inside the bucket. Remove the two screws on the back of the Amana washer that secure the top panel to the rear of the washer with a socket wrench. Lift up on the rear of the top section and slide
