How Do You Take Apart A Front Load Washer?

0

Front load washers are more economical than traditional top load washers. One similarity between them is that parts fail and need to be replaced. Once you know how to take apart a front load washer, you can access all of its working components. Unlike a top load model, the cabinet comes apart in pieces, much in the way a dryer is disassembled. Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet and pull the front load washer away from the back wall. Turn the spigots off to the water supply and set a bucket behind the washer. Disconnect the two water supply hoses from the rear of the washer and set them inside the bucket. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screws securing the top panel to the rear panel of the washer. Depending upon your brand and model, there will be two to four screws. Pull the rear of the top panel up, slide the top panel toward the rear wall and remove the panel from the work area. Disconnect the control console touchpad wiring ribbon from the control console
