How do you think the society would be affected on the whole if cannabis was legalised?
This is my view on the situation, It doesn’t really matter if the Gov. tax the drug or not it doesn’t mean that they will make it for the consumers. The government doesn’t currently produce the alcohol drunk or the cigarettes smoked anyway, considering that they can’t even run national train- or functional postal services. Legalising cannabis wouldn’t be good news for the illegal distribution franchises. For one people could grow it themselves. One logical solution would be to tolerate 5 plants for personal possession like in the Netherlands where Cannabis is not legal! On the other hand people who don’t want to grow/can’t and/or can’t afford the price of the shop bought ganja or who are too young would still be targeted by dealers. Plus there would still be illegal import just like there is of cigarettes and alcohol. There wouldn’t be more people smoking it than those who are already smoking it. Maybe for the hype users who feel like being rebellious might be put off trying something
