How Do You Tie A Line To A Safety Slide For Bowfishing?

0

Every bowfisher has experienced arrow snapback at on time or another. The line gets tangled with the bow string and the arrow can go in any direction uncontrollably. This is a dangerous situation that AMS has remedied with the Safety Slide. The Safety Slide keeps the fishing line in front of the bow and away from the bow string. After release, the slide moves to the back of the arrow, keeping the line trailing without hindering arrow flight. It’s necessary to tie a line to the Safety Slide. Thread the fishing line through the Safety Slide. Run the end of the line through one hole, across the slot and down the other hole. Make a loop about 4 inches behind the safety slide to start an overhand knot. Slide the arrow through the loop from one end to the other and pull the knot tight. You should have a knot that stays behind the nock during flight.
