How do you tighten ceiling fans that are loose and wobbly?

May be loose where it attaches to ceiling. Possible to wedge something between base and ceiling. For the wobble, a balance kit is availible that is a small weight that sticks to the blade that is out of balance. There is a clip that can be cliped on the edge of the blade and moved along the length to find the right spot for the weight. Try one blade by putting the clip in the middle of the blade on the edge, turn it on and see if it gets better or worse. Do this to each blade and you will find the one that is out of balance. Clean the blades first, it may just be dust buildup.
