How Do You Transfer PAL To NTSC?
Video formats are split into two categories. North America and Japan use NTSC, while the rest of the world uses PAL. The principal difference is found in the frame rate of the two formats, with the NTSC format being a little faster. This difference extends all the way back to the days of videotape, as does the issue of conversion. Converting DVDs does not require any specialized software. Step 1 Put the PAL format DVD into your computer’s DVD drive and open a window so you can see the files in it. Do not try to play the movie. Step 2 Copy all these files onto your computer’s hard disk. Step 3 Double-click on and open the folder among the DVD files called “VIDEO_TS.” You will see a series of files that will be sequenced together and will be the largest files on the DVD. An example might be VTS_04.01 through VTS_04.06, with each occupying over 1,000 megabytes of space. This represents the actual film.
