How Do You Transplant A Eucalyptus Tree?

Eucalyptus refers to many types of trees with fragrant oil and thick leaves. Eucalyptus globulus, native to Australia and rampant throughout California and the Southeastern U.S., is one of the most well known varietals. Eucalyptus globulus has thin papery skin in mottled shades of brown and elongated oval leaves in bright and olive shades of green. These trees grow quite tall--as much as 200 feet-- and can thrive in full sun or part sun environments. While Eucalyptus globulus is a hardy tree once planted, mature trees do not transplant well. If you're introducing eucalyptus trees into your home, start with a sapling. Find a proper place in your yard to transplant your eucalyptus tree and dig a hole with the shovel.
