Wash your plant pot and rinse with a mixture of 1 part bleach and 9 parts water to sterilize it. This will get rid of any diseases and insects. Create a soil mixture of one part potting soil and one part coarse sand. This is a good combination that gives the aloe nutrients and lots of drainage.
