Since you are likely to feel very sleepy during waking hours, you are going to want to alleviate your symptoms. Follow a set sleep schedule. Many circadian rhythm disorders can be avoided by sticking to a strict sleeping and waking schedule. You should avoid naps and stay out of the bed until you are ready to sleep. Steer away from food or drink before bed. Eating or drinking before bed can disrupt your normal sleep pattern. Try not to drink or eat anything at least 3 to 4 hours before bedtime. Take control of your sleep environment. If you are a shift worker, you may find it difficult to sleep during certain times of the day.
