How Do You Troubleshoot A Maytag Refrigerator Ice Maker?
Ice makers, including those in Maytag refrigerators, are not immune from problems. But before you call Maytag or a repair service, try some basic troubleshooting to see if you can diagnose and fix the problem yourself. Doing so may save you time and money. Check the shutoff arm or switch to make sure it is in the “on” position. All Maytag ice makers have a shutoff to prevent the ice maker from producing too much ice. Open the water shutoff valve. To make ice, a water line has to be run to your Maytag refrigerator. That line will likely have a small valve allowing the line to be shut off to make repairs.
