How Do You Troubleshoot A Reddy Heater?
The Reddy heater comes in all shapes and sizes. It is fueled by gas, kerosene and electricity. The heater can have a blower or just simply radiate heat from a burner. It is mainly designed for outdoor use, but can be placed in well ventilated areas, such as garages or tool shops. It is also popular in hunting shacks where central heating would be too costly to install. Step 1 If the heater on a Reddy heater doesn’t start, then check the power or fuel source for the heater. Also check to see that the thermostat is set at a temperature that would require the heater to come on and that there are no fuses blown. If these things are OK, look at electrical connections to see if there are any loose wires, and tighten them. Make sure that the unit is off while checking and fixing these issues. Step 2 If the heater still won’t produce heat, check for a dirty filter if run on fuel. Turn the unit off, take is apart with a screwdriver and remove the filter. If dirty, rinse it off and let it dry co
