How Do You Trust The New Boyfriend After Being Cheated On?
Wow…I did the same thing. Six years with one guy that treated me terribly did awful things to my ability to trust. He cheated on me several times with several people. He was lazy and made me work two jobs and go to school while he sat at home unemployed. My new guy is fantastic. He’s cute, funny, sweet, and he loves me for me. However, I spent months worrying about every little thing. It was making me completely crazy. I even considered leaving him! In the end, it was about accepting that he is not my ex. I just had to be fair and give this guy a chance. I was also open and honest about everything with my boyfriend. I told him I was insecure and having trust issues. He was completely understanding and offered his help in anyway to make me feel more comfortable. He was just great. So, I had to tell myself that unless I have a valid reason for flipping out or getting paranoid, I need to just get over it.
