If you move into a new house, like we did, that has expensive functional cellular shades in any of the rooms, but the shades are not the color you'd like, or you want the softness of curtains while maintaining the light-blocking ability that cellular shades offer, try this easy retrofitting idea to change the style of the room without making one stitch. Step 2 Add two inches on each side to allow for a hem.
