How Do You Type Smiley Faces For Messaging?

OK, over here I have my AOL Instant Messenger open and let’s say I just want to make a regular smiley face. Just going to type colon and then a closed parenthesis. Looks kind of like a smiley face turned on its side. I go ahead and hit ENTER and then it shows as a smiley face right here. You can make a smiley face sticking its tongue out, SHIFT and then your colon and then the letter P and then you got the smiley face sticking its tongue out. In addition to these kinds of smilies, instead of typing them, you can come in and click on the smile button and you can choose all these different smilies. I like this one here, its a sunglasses like he’s cool. And then I can choose that smiley. These are called emoticons and they’re meant to show your emotion in a text format.
