How Do You Unclog A Tub Drain?
The easy way to unclog a tub drain without getting into trouble The first thing you’ll want to try is plunging the drain. But to do this you have to plug the overflow hole with something like duct tape or a rag. The holes are located below the spout underneath the plate where you flip the lever to drain or hold water in the tub. Once that’s done try plunging with a good hard rubber plunger. I cant stress how important a good plunger is. If the drain still seems slow pull the plug out of the bottom and remove all the hair and soap scum from it and put it back in. Then unscrew the two screws in the overflow cover and pull the linkage out carefully. Remove hair and soap scum from that. Next run a cheap hand snake down the hole as shown in the picture to push the clog through. . Now run water to see if the clog has been removed.
